How a rental works

01 · YOU Gear out by QR Scan the rider, pick the kite, board or e-foil, set the time.
02 · ON THE WATER Every rider on the map Drifting downwind or out of the riding zone? The school knows first.
03 · BACK ON THE BEACH Gear checked in Return check with photos and damage — and a record of who rode what (coming in the pilot).

No app yet? It's free, one minute. Don't want one? Send a web link by SMS (coming in the pilot). Busy day? Print stickers from your dashboard and let customers start themselves.

Built for the spot.

Riding zone per spot

Draw where riders may go. Leave it and the school gets an alert.

Return check

Photos and damage at check-in. A copy goes to the rider (coming in the pilot).

Help request and SOS

A rider who needs a hand reaches your staff; an SOS goes to the rescue centre — you see both.

Every rental on record

Who had which kite, when, and what happened — ready for your insurer.

Offshore wind warning

Call riders in when the wind turns offshore.

Lesson groups

SOON

The instructor's phone anchors the group; an alert when a student drifts away.

Questions operators ask

Can I track a lesson group with one instructor?

Lesson groups — the instructor's phone as the group's anchor, an alert when a student drifts away — are coming, built with pilot schools. Until then each rider with a phone is a rental of their own.

Do riders need their phone on the water?

Yes. Fleet tracks the phone, so riders carry it in a waterproof pouch or a vest pocket. A rider without a phone can't be seen on your map — say so in your briefing.

Do my customers need to download an app?

The VesselSOS app is free and takes about a minute to set up — on iPhone today, Android later. Customers who don't want an app get a web link by SMS that works in the phone's browser (coming in the pilot).

Do I need GPS trackers or other hardware?

No. Your customers' phones are the trackers. Your staff use the Fleet dashboard in a browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. The only thing you print is a QR sticker for each craft.

Can I use Fleet this season?

Fleet is in its pilot: we're onboarding a small group of rental operators for the 2027 season and set up each fleet together with them. You can try the dashboard demo with sample data today and apply for the pilot.

Who can see my customer's location?

Only your staff, and only for the rental the customer accepted in their app — they can see who is watching. VesselSOS keeps its data in the European Union (Stockholm), and every pilot operator signs a data processing agreement with us.

Fleet helps your staff keep an eye on every rental. It is not a rescue service and doesn't replace your own safety duties.
