How a rental works

01 · YOU Scan and go Scan their QR, pick the board and the time, confirm. Under 30 seconds, even with a queue.
02 · ON THE WATER Every board in its zone Out of the inshore zone or late? You get the alert before anyone has to shout from the beach.
03 · CLOSING All boards back Tap Returned. At closing, the evening report lands in your inbox (coming in the pilot).

No app yet? It's free, one minute. Don't want one? Send a web link by SMS (coming in the pilot). Busy day? Print stickers from your dashboard and let customers start themselves.

Built for a busy beach.

Inshore zone

Draw it once on the sea chart. Every board out of it shows up on your map.

Offshore wind warning

Tell paddlers to head back, or pause SUP check-outs until the wind turns.

Stickers on every board

Busy morning? Customers scan the board’s sticker and start the rental themselves.

Help request comes to you

Can't paddle back? The request goes to your staff with the position — not to 112.

Evening report

Rentals, late returns and incidents of the day, in your inbox at closing (coming in the pilot).

Digital rental agreement

SOON

The customer signs in the app; a copy stays with the rental.

Questions operators ask

Will my customers take their phone on a SUP?

Most already do, in a waterproof pouch or a dry bag — offer one at the counter. Fleet tracks the phone, so a customer without one on the board can't be seen on your map. If a phone runs low, you get a battery alert and the last position stays on your map.

What happens when the wind turns offshore?

You see the warning on the dashboard and can send every paddler on the water a message to head back — and pause new SUP and kayak check-outs until it turns.

Do my customers need to download an app?

The VesselSOS app is free and takes about a minute to set up — on iPhone today, Android later. Customers who don't want an app get a web link by SMS that works in the phone's browser (coming in the pilot).

Do I need GPS trackers or other hardware?

No. Your customers' phones are the trackers. Your staff use the Fleet dashboard in a browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. The only thing you print is a QR sticker for each craft.

Can I use Fleet this season?

Fleet is in its pilot: we're onboarding a small group of rental operators for the 2027 season and set up each fleet together with them. You can try the dashboard demo with sample data today and apply for the pilot.

Who can see my customer's location?

Only your staff, and only for the rental the customer accepted in their app — they can see who is watching. VesselSOS keeps its data in the European Union (Stockholm), and every pilot operator signs a data processing agreement with us.

Fleet helps your staff keep an eye on every rental. It is not a rescue service and doesn't replace your own safety duties.
