Recomendación oficial KVR (SeeStrOV), SeeSchStrO, BinSchStrO 2012, BinSch-SportbootVermV, Bodensee-Schifffahrts-Ordnung; Leitfaden: BMV/BSH/WSV „Sicherheit auf dem Wasser“ (Dezember 2023)
Autoridad: BMV / BSH / WSV
German federal law sets no safety-equipment list for private pleasure craft — only lights, shapes and sound signals. Lists exist for paid trips on inland waterways and on Lake Constance; everything else here is the federal transport ministry’s guidance. Other Länder waters may have their own rules (not checked).
Germany has no statutory equipment list for private boats. Lines marked “Law” are statutory (lights, shapes and sound signals, paid trips inland, Lake Constance); lines marked “Guidance” come from the BMV/BSH/WSV brochure “Sicherheit auf dem Wasser”.
